Mobility Passenger Cover (MPC)

What is it?
MotiSure MPC is a trip insurance coverage for passengers who take trips with MotiSure partner’s rides.The cover begins at the beginning of the trip and ends once the trip is over
Who can benefit from MotiSure? Passengers aged between 18 and 70 years who take a trip using MotiSure’  partners 
How can passengers register for the Insurance? Passengers of MotiSure’ s partners will be auto enrolled upon taking trip with the MotiSure partner
What are the costs and benefits of MotiSure?

    Hospitalization  – Benefit of Kshs 1,000 paid to the insured/insured next of kin in case of more than 2 nights if hospitalized in an NHIF accredited hospital due to an accident

Permanent Disability – Benefit of Kshs 100,000 paid to the insured in case of total loss of a limb, sight or hearing of the insured individual due to an accident

Death –  Benefit of Kshs 100,000 paid to the insured’s next of kin in case of Death of the passenger caused by an accident

The trip costs Kshs 50 per trip

What are the TAT’s for the insurance  Claim payments will be paid within 72 hours upon complete submission of claim documents

How will the claimant receive these benefits?

In the event that any of the insured events happen, the claim amount will be paid to the claimant’s mobile number
How long does the MotiSure claimant have to notify MicroEnsure of an insured event?


All claims must be reported to MicroEnsure within the following periods: 

Hospitalization Cover: must be notified within 30 days from the date of the event and submit required documentation within 60 days.

Disability –  Notification within 30 days and documents to be provided within 60 days from notification

Death – Notification within 90 days and documents to be provide within 60 days from notification


Under what conditions will a benefit not be paid?
Any event that is not caused by an accidentPermanent Total Disability that has not being confirmed by a medical Doctor.Suicide or any attempted threat of suicide, any intentionally self-inflicted injury or illness; or  Any intentional contravention of any criminal law, whether legislative or at common law, by the Beneficiary, or by anyone acting on behalf of the Beneficiary (and Beneficiary’s Spouse and Beneficiary’s Dependent) or with the Beneficiary’s(and Spouse and Dependent)  permission or knowledge or by any person claiming any benefit under the Policy; Any fraudulent or dishonest act committed by the Beneficiary or the staff of the policyholder whether acting alone or in collusion with others.

Claims Process

  1. Claim event occurs
  2. Claimant (Passenger/Next of kin) visits motisure.com to lodge a claim
  3. Claimant uploads the necessary documents
  4. Claim is reviewed 
  5. Valid claims are paid to claimant’s mobile number

 

Mobility Rider Cover

What is it?
MotiSure is a monthly rider insurance cover.The cover has a waiting period of 7 days i.e. Rider can only start claiming after 7 days from premium payment
Who can benefit from MotiSure? Riders aged between 18 and 70 years can benefit in the event of the following circumstances due an accident;Hospitalization  – Benefit of more than 2 nights if hospitalized in an NHIF accredited hospital due to an accidentPermanent Disability – shall mean total loss of a limb, sight or hearing of the insured individual due to an accident Death – Death of rider caused by an accidentBike Repairs – Repair cost reimbursed in the event of an accident
How can account holders register for the Insurance? A rider can enroll by visiting motisure.com and buying a policy
What are the costs and benefits of MotiSure?    Hospitalization  – Benefit of Kshs 30,000 in case of hospitalization of more than 2 nights if hospitalized in an NHIF accredited hospital due to an accidentPermanent Disability – Benefit of Kshs 100,000 in the event of total loss of a limb, sight or hearing of the insured individual due to an accidentDeath – Benefit of Kshs 100,00 in case of death due to an accidentFuneral – Benefit of Kshs 10,00 in case of death due to an accident or an illnessBike Repairs – Repair cost reimbursed in the event of an accident to a limit of Kshs 5,500
*The cover will cost Kshs 146 per month. Payment can be made daily or weekly * In the event that a whole month’s premium has not been collected at point of claim, the claim amount is pro-rated by number of days premium is collected
